Finding Me: 45-Day Journal ("Finding Me," "we") is a private journaling app. This policy explains what we collect and who handles it.
What we collect
- Account info: your email address, signup date, trial status, and whether you've purchased lifetime access.
- Your journal entries, saved to your account so you can reach them on any device.
- Payment information is collected by Stripe, not by us. We only store that you paid.
- Reminder settings and your last 6 completed journeys are stored on your own device, not on our servers.
Who can see your entries
Only you can read your entries in the app. We do not sell your entries or use them for advertising. We don't read them, except if you ask us for help or the law requires it.
AI personal prompts (optional)
If you tap "Personal Prompts," the text of that day's reflection (up to 4,000 characters) and the journal question are sent to an AI service (OpenAI, through our platform provider) to write three short prompts for you. This only happens when you tap the button. Entries are never sent automatically. Our AI provider is configured not to retain your reflection after your prompts are written, and your entries are not used to train AI models. We review our providers' terms to keep this accurate. Please don't include information you wouldn't want processed by an AI service.
Voice input (optional)
The microphone button uses your phone browser's built-in speech-to-text (for example, Apple or Google). Your audio is processed by them under their own policies. We never receive or store audio. Only the typed words are added to your entry.
Services we use
- Stripe, to process payments.
- Our app platform and database provider, to host the app, store your account and entries, and send account emails.
- OpenAI, only for Personal Prompts.
- Your device's speech service, only for voice input.
- Google Fonts, which loads our typefaces and may receive your IP address.
We do not use advertising or analytics trackers.
Emails
We send account emails (confirmation, password reset, and welcome). If you opt in, we also send tips and updates, and you can unsubscribe anytime.
If you set a reminder for your Letter to My Future Self, we use your email address to send you one reminder on the date you chose. We do not read your letter, and it is never included in the email.
If you sign up to hear about our next journal, we store your email address for that purpose only and you can unsubscribe or ask us to delete it at any time by emailing hello@findingme.win.
Your choices
You can ask for a copy of your data, or for your account and entries to be deleted, by emailing hello@findingme.win. We'll respond within 30 days. If your trial ends, your entries are locked, not deleted.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards, including account-level protections so each user can only access their own entries. No system is completely secure.
Age
Finding Me is for adults 18 and older.

Finding Me offers general self-care and journaling support, not medical or mental health advice. If you're struggling, call or text 988 (US) or contact local emergency services.
